INSTRUCTIONS
Project 1: Create a portrait of yourself by applying the various
principles that we had learnt through these weeks.

Drawing
This is the photo of myself. I decided to draw a portrait using this picture
and then combined them in a artwork.

The reason I draw my eyes as a galaxy is because I like to see stars and the
sky. I think that eyes with galaxy has a meaning of we can look until very
'far' and don't need to worry too much at the moment. When I am looking at the
pictures of galaxy, It somehow took away all my irritation and sad things
for a while. I will feel like how big is this universe , we were just a little
tiny human so don't be panic and just enjoy your life.

I draw a blue hair for myself because I want to dye someday. I really like blue
color.

After done the drawing on ipad , I put these two photos into Photoshop then
cut them and combined them together.

This flower wreath is drawn by me but it is not for this project. It is just
a painting I think suitable for this project so I decided to put in this
because I like flowers.

This is the first attempt of my self-portrait and I haven't really decided the
background yet so I just draw a simple background first.

Feedback: Ms Jinchi said that this ideas is good but she suggest me that I can
focus to draw on my eyes and darken down the color of my hair to make my eyes as
the focus point. She also suggest me that I can use the illustration for the
entire artwork.

This is my second attempt of my self portrait. According to the feedback, I
use illustration for the entire artwork instead of the half one (first
attempt). Then, I darken down the hair color. Then, I added some flowers
above my eyes because I love flowers and I think is cute after adding
it.

Description:
In conclusion, what I tried to tell the viewers is this is what I hope to be in the future. First of all, I hope I can always be happy and not overthink. So I draw myself a smiley face because nothing is more important than your own feelings. Then I drew blue hair for myself. I really like the color blue and one of the reasons is I like to watch the sea. I feel very calm and peaceful when I am looking at it. Then, I draw myself a 'galaxy eye', I like to see the stars although there's not much in the city. We were just a tiny dust in the universe and why do we have to worry so much every day. I hope that I can live in the moment and enjoy my life. Lastly, I draw some flowers on my cheek because I love flowers. I like how the flowers bloom and how pretty they are when they bloom. I hope that I can 'bloom' in the future too in my field.

REFLECTIONS
I think this project is quite fun because we get to know more about
ourselves. Sometimes we will just try to know other peoples and forgot to
know how we feel inside. I think this project has a wide range because
everyone is unique and only. There's nothing to define that you are wrong
or correct and we just need to present what we want to show to the
viewers.
