LECTURES

PRIMARY DATA
Task: we will be exposed to various methods, such as Qualitative – observation studies, interviews and focus group as well as Quantitative - survey questionnaire to collect primary data for their study. All evidence to support data collection is to be organized well. Select and justify suitable primary research methods relevant to the study. Minimum one method are expected for this stage. Carry out the research and collect data

FEEDBACK
Week 9:

General Feedback: the question designed cannot be biased.

Specific Feedback :

Dr Hayati said that two of my questions from the survey questionnaire were biased as I already assume the participants to choose the answer so I need to either have a wider choice of answer or do some changes on the questions. Then, after we did our survey form, make sure to make Dr Hayati as collaborators so she can see also. She also mentioned that my critical review was too brief and ask me to do some amendments after when I completed the primary data

Week 10:
Specific Feedback:
Dr Hayati mentioned that overall I have done much improvement compared to the previous one but still have some parts that needs to be correcting, there are two questions that is too biased and I can try to rephrase the sentences and put the assumption to the answer part so that participant has got more options to choose.

Week 11:
Specific Feedback:
Dr Hayati suggested that I add one more method so that it would make sure the data collected were sufficient to cover my research objectives and questions.

Week 12:
Specific Feedback:
Dr Hayati said to make sure my visual analysis on the application was standing in a middle position so that the data collected will not be biased to one of the sides. She said that it was difficult to not stand on either users or developer view but as a researcher, we have to give out a fair  answer.

Week 13:
Specific Feedback:
Dr Hayati said to make sure I complete the reflections and also the final presentation. The reflections could help her to understand the reason we choose to do certain things and it’s important to us because we will be able to review the effectiveness of our chosen things and the outcome.

REFLECTIONS
For this part, the challenge was when I wanted to spread out the questionnaire because the participants must reach a target number so that we could use the data collected and analyzed. It’s quite hard to distribute it as people might not be free to participate in it but I appreciate those who help me. Then, the second challenge is when I am doing the visual analysis, I have to stand in the middle and not be biased on each side. This is a bit difficult as you can’t be either designer or user. But, at least I tried to do that, I am quite satisfied with the data collected as everything is accurate and quite sufficient.
