Task 2// Product Design
Week 6 Preparation for Production Stage
This week, we had a meeting with Computer Science students during our class
time. We agreed that we will follow the features based on their prototype
instead of following the proposal that they sent to Angsana. Then, we also
showed them our incomplete black-and-white wireframes and we discuss the
features together.
First of all, before we start our production stages, we have to make a table
list with all the tasks and also the time period required, then the leader
will have to assign an equal job to every groupmate and set the deadline for
each task so that it would not be any delay.
After that, all group mates can start doing their task according to the task
allocated.

Week 7 Black and White Wireframe
For this week, we continued to complete our black and white wireframe to
send it to Computer Science as soon as possible.
Week 8: Independent Learning Week
For this week, we got not many updates as we completed the black-and-white
version of the wireframes and waiting for Mr Mike's feedback on it.
Week 9: Coloured Wireframe

Week 10: Coloured Wireframe
For this week, we continue to colour the wireframes and make sure it was
done by this week as we had to present it on next week.

FEEDBACK
Week 6: Sir said that we shall start our work based on what we agree with
computer science students. Before we start working, we have to make a
table list with all the tasks and also the time period required, then the
leader will have to assign an equal job to every groupmate and set the
deadline for each task so that it would not be any delay.
Week 7: Sir said that our art direction is incomplete and we are required
more rationale to support each design decision. Best to relate with the
branding rationale or the app/solution’s rationale. For example, the
reason we choose to use this colour scheme, the reason we not using
something.
Week 8: Sir has not given any comment on this week as this week is
Independent Learning Week.
Week 9: Mr Mike said that the wireframe looks quite limited in features to
convincingly solve the client’s problem. He suggested we go beyond what
the computing partners could do as the conceptual expansion of features in
mockups without having computing produce the prototype. However, the
mockups would need to be industry relevant or producible, not an emerging
tech that has not been produced in the market. He also mentioned that for
now, the features seem quite less and not really helpful to the target
audience.
Other than that, he also said that our character design is quite well and
this week we prepared our design rationale, which he said is good. Then,
the colour and typography were chosen to work quite well in the app
prototypes.
Week 10: Mr Mike said that we can add some minor animation to the virtual
pet to make the pets look alive a bit. Then, He also asked us to do some
changes to the app such as
Week 11: Mr Mike didn't say much this week as we still waiting for Angsana
Tenang Team's reply on what to change in the app prototype. He mentioned
that we should always communicate with them politely and make sure they
give us the final decision on time so that our work will not be
delayed.
REFLECTIONS
Week 6:
This week, I felt we were finally on the right track to developing our
app because I started to design the wireframes of the app. We are
assigned to work on a different part but on some designs such as the
width of buttons and also the margin we make sure it's all the same to
keep the consistency.
Week 7:
For this week, we kind of rushing to do our wireframes and prepare the
design proposal for Angsana Team. We also plan to do it before week 8 so
that Mr Mike can try it out and give us feedback.
Week 8:
For this week, I got not have many things to say as we did our
black-and-white version of wireframes and waited for Mr Mike to give us
feedback on it.
Week 9:
For this week, I felt happy as Mr Mike said that we can actually design some
things that we wanted to and not only follow our computer science partners'
abilities as we couldn't let them limit our capabilities and affects our
portfolio. Even though we have plenty of ideas of what to add to the app, we
still stick with the existing features and add some interesting things that
we think can enhance the overall user experience.
Week 10:
I feel a bit rushing on this week as after the consultation we only have
less than 24 hours to make changes. But I am glad that our teammates did
their job well and we manages to keep things done before the presentation.
Week 11:
After the meeting with our client, we then wait for their conclusion on
making changes to our prototype. I felt happy as they felt impressed with
our work and they liked our character and overall design. But at the same
time, they refused to add some features that we think can enhance the
experience and suggest for them. This make us feel a bit pitiful as we
thought that these features can help user to gain a better experience and
interest in the app.
