FEEDBACK
Week 3:
Mr Asrizal said that the CV and business card styles need to be the same, and the info in the CV can be used to describe our skills instead of stating the software we learned.
REFLECTIONS
Organising and carrying out our final-year project show was a fulfilling experience that taught me much about event organising and managing. As the person in charge of printing items and maintaining the place, I had multiple challenges that tested my problem-solving abilities, creative thinking, and adaptability.
Merchandise Printing:
Managing merchandise printing needed extensive care to every detail, from designing the items to ensuring their excellent quality. I was required to work with suppliers, finalise designs, and ensure timely delivery. This approach taught me the value of straightforward communication, particularly when working with external partners. It was pleasant seeing attendees appreciate the merchandise, knowing that the effort that was put into each item enhanced their experience.
Finding the Location:
Finding a suitable location for the exhibition was another key duty. To ensure that the site was appropriate for the exhibition's theme and purpose, I had to consider accessibility, size, and ambience. It was difficult to find a place that satisfied all of these requirements while remaining within budget, but after careful research and negotiation, we were able to acquire an amazing location.
Lessons Learned:
This event highlighted the value of planning and flexibility. Despite unexpected challenges, such as last-minute modifications and logistical issues, having backup plans and maintaining a positive mindset helped guarantee the showcase worked well. Furthermore, working with team members and individuals was critical to overcoming barriers and realising our common vision.
Finally, being in charge of printing merchandise and locating a venue for the final-year project showcase was both tough and rewarding. It taught me practical skills in project management, communication, and teamwork that I will apply in my future work. The event's success was due to everyone's hard work and dedication, and I am delighted to have been a part of such a remarkable milestone.
